  1. Does the game install anything on my computer?
    Bright Spot Challenge game DOES NOT install extra files on your computer. The only file required for the game is the file named "lqPop.swf".
  2. What are the system requirements for the game?
    Minimum system requirements for Windows:
    • Windows operating system, Pentium III 500 MHz, 256 MB Ram
    • 8 MB Graphics Card
    • Mouse or other pointing device

    To play the game:

    Minimum system requirements for Macintosh:
    • OS X, G3 or higher processor 64 MB of physical RAM
    • 2 MB Video RAM
    • Mouse or other pointing device
  3. Do the games cost anything to play?
    No. The games are free to play and distribute. There are no time, or any other, limitations in the games. Have fun!
  4. What are "cookies?"
    A "cookie" is a small file that many websites and programs leave behind on your computer to store information such as preferences, selections, etc. so that this information is available next time the website is visited or the program is executed. You may disable cookies in your primary Web browser to prevent this from happening.
  5. I can move the mouse but I can't select anything or fire. How do I fix this?
    If the program is frozen, you will need to press Ctrl-Alt-Del. This will bring up the Task Manager, which will give you a list of all of the programs that are currently running. If the program is frozen, it will probably have the text "Not Responding" beside it. Click on this program to highlight it, then select End Task. After a couple of seconds, the program should close.
  6. Why do I need to supply an e-mail address?
    An email address is required to create a Kewlbox Game Account to post your scores. We will not send you any communication via email unless you indicate that it is okay to do so.
  7. Why does the scoreboard only show my top five scores?
    The scoreboard is set up to show an individual player's top five scores so that more players can appear on the scoreboard.
  8. Does the person with the highest score win anything?
    Just bragging rights.
  9. Does Bright Spot Challenge game communicate over the web?
    When you play Bright Spot Challenge game with an open Internet connection, it will send a signal to the website kewlbox.com, so that we can count how many times the game is played. This signal does not transfer any personal information, such as your name, e-mail address, etc.
  10. Can I be a beta tester?
    Kewlbox is currently not accepting any applications for beta testers.
  11. What happens to my information I give during registration?
    We will not share or transfer this personal information to any third parties without your permission, although we may collect, sell, or publish demographic information and statistics in the aggregate. This is more fully covered in the Kewlbox Privacy Statement in the game and the La Quinta Privacy Policy for the website.
  12. What is an Easter Egg?
    An Easter Egg is a hidden feature located in the game. Some of these hidden treasures may be easy to find, while others prove to be more difficult. Companies often hide them in their games for people to find. You need to play the game to see if there are any.
  13. I clicked on the "Play Online" link to play a particular game. When the page loads, I get a security settings error. I click the "OK" button and nothing happens. Why won’t the game load?
    Your security settings in Microsoft Internet Explorer are set to "high", which will not allow the certain types of files to load in your Web browser. These security settings will not allow our games to be played online. In order to play our games online, your Internet Explorer security settings will have to be set to "medium" or lower. To change your security settings in Microsoft Internet Explorer go to "Tools > Internet Options" and click on the "Security" tab. Next, click the "Default Level" button and then use the slider bar to select "Medium".

    Only change the security settings in Internet Explorer if you feel comfortable doing so. Remember, you can always safely download the game to your computer from our Web site. If you are using a computer at work, please contact your system or network administrator before attempting to change any security settings on your computer or Web browser.
